Working together in faith to do God's work

Christ's Kids

                                   October Calendar

Wednesday evenings at 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Christ's Kids is a midweek club for children in first through sixth grades.  The club includes dinner, lessons and activities, and the musical choirs for children.  Tuitition is charged for this club.

The program is lead by Christian Education Director Alisha Cooley.  Assisting the director will be Kristen Duvall, Judy Himebauch, and Dale Rathbun.  Gym activities are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month.  The children's Hand Chimes Choir meets before Christ's Kids with leaders Cindy Miller and Sandra McMurray.  Children's choirs are directed by John Fedosky.  There are two vocal choirs, the Sunshine Singers (1st-3rd grades) and the Alleluia Choir (4th-6th grades).  The children's choirs perform on Sunday mornings at both Worship services, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.  They should report to the choir room at 8:30 a.m. and/or to the chimes room at 8:00 a.m. on performance days.

Parents are involved by preparing dinners for the club and assisting in the activities throughout the year.  We ask for your help of time and/or donations for our mission projects.  Sign up sheets are posted in Fellowship Hall on the bulletin board.

Parents should complete a blue payment form each time you pay tuition.  Tuition for the club is $2 per meeting.  You may pay by the meeting, monthly, or quarterly.  Payments should be made on program nights or to the church office.  Be sure to keep your contact and child's information on file with us.

PLEASE NOTE:  This year our curriculum will focus on art and religion.  We will look at different art media from all over the world and go on a field trip to the Toledo Museum of Art in the spring.

PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:  Unless you are otherwise informed, we will follow the Monroe Public Schools scheduling for vacations.  We will all not meet if Monroe Public Schools closed because of weather.
