Permanent Part Time Position

Position Description: The primary responsibility of the Organist, in conjunction with our Choir Director, is to provide musical leadership and inspiration for the Chancel Choir. Other responsibilities include being supportive of other music groups within the church.The church organist shall work under the direction of the music director. Position requires excellent organ and piano skills. Accompany regular Sunday worship services, 9:00 and 11:00 am (summer moves to one service @ 9:30); accompany special services which include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday (when hosted by our church), Christmas Eve; accompany rehearsals (Wednesday evenings) of the adult choir and special offerings. Church organist will have first option on weddings and funerals.

Qualifications: An academic degree in music or advanced professional certification is highly desirable. Training and experience as a church organist; ability to work well with Choir Director, singers, clergy and other church members; knowledge of choral and organ repertoire.

Organ: Three manual Moeller. Stop list available on request.

Piano: Baldwin baby grand. (Sanctuary) Yamaha P22 (Rehearsal Room)
